Snow Freaks and Weather Maps

Keystone and Copper mountain opened this weekend, so I decided to do a solo trip to get a couple of runs in before the masses invaded with their snow fever. I barely got four runs in before I ran smack into a 45 minute line filled with snow freaks. I must admit, I've beome one of them too because I'm constantly looking up weather maps posted online and forecast my own weather. If it smells like crap, Denver gets snow. If there's a cold front in Montana, I'll have to wear a parka to work for a couple days. Granted, I'm still an amateur because I never experienced real weather or seasons in my life down in Southern California, but I've been learning fast from my coworkers who grew up in the area. Right now all the ski areas in summit country are about 1 foot (or one good storm) away from being completely open. For now, I'm glued to this map showing a cold front developing over Montana and am praying that it mixes with precipitation in the northwest.
